French Pub: Your Neighborhood Spot for American Comfort Food

Great food, and service. Had the French onion soup and Mac and cheese egg rolls for appetizers they were amazing.

French Dip sammich was perfect. Service was great. My dad took me here for lunch and I left more than satisfied. Definitely wanna come back when I’m in Buffalo again.

French Pub, despite its new ownership, thankfully retains much of its familiar charm and excellent staff. We were delighted that the chicken finger panini was just as we remembered, and the French dip was absolutely delicious. While the outdoor patio is now enclosed and wasn't in use, we experienced great service from the plentiful staff, and the greeter was particularly welcoming. We're happy to report that this spot continues to deliver consistent quality and fair pricing, making it a place we'll definitely revisit.

We stopped in during a Bills game to get a bite to eat. They had the game on several TVs throughout the restaurant, which was great. We were in the back in a very roomy booth. They served fresh popcorn while we waited and were very attentive to refilling beverages. We ordered the French dip, fingers, and a BLT. All the portion sizes were good-sized and the prices were reasonable. We would definitely come back to try other menu items.

The vibe of the French Pub in 2025 was less “local bar” and more “Notre Dame practice facility where God himself signs autographs.” The walls felt like they were painted with grit, determination, and maybe a little hot sauce. Every bite I took echoed the energy of Joe Otting pancaking a defender, and every sip of beer reminded me of Riley Leonard scrambling out of the pocket with the poise of a man who also appreciates affordable appetizers. By the end of my meal, I was convinced the French Pub kitchen staff were secretly the Notre Dame offensive line—moving as one unit, executing flawlessly, protecting my hunger like Blake Fisher protecting CJ Carr. The bartender? Might’ve been Jaden Mickey in disguise, intercepting my thirst every single time before it became a turnover. Final thought: French Pub in 2025 isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a dynasty. A cathedral of beer, soup, and pizza logs. If Notre Dame wins the national championship this year (which they will—sorry Miami, sit down), they should host the parade right through the dining room. First time at the French Pub. Loved the vibe, friendly staff and very good food. I had the ribs and my hubby had the burger. We will be back.

Tried here for the first time. It was really good. I ordered the Reuben and my better half ordered the mushroom bacon burger. I upgraded for fries and he upgraded for onion rings. Everything tasted really good. We ordered the New York Cheesecake to go and the Peanut Butter pie to go as we were full .

Food was phenomenal. Everyone was kind. Prices were a little bit cheaper for much better food. And our waitress was super kind and came back to our table pretty regularly.
